We are the generation
that will enrich nature

We believe that earth’s wisdom can guide us toward a positive-footprint. But how do we become one with nature again?

Our story

We live in a world where a dead tree is valued more than a living one. This prompted us to think, “What if we no longer work with lifeless materials but rather with living organisms?” During our graduation project at Delft University of Technology, we explored ways to collaborate with nature and leave a positive footprint. In the forest, we found our answers in mycelium, the underground root network of mushrooms and nature’s recycler. Mycelium is a magnificent organism responsible for converting dead organic matter into nourishment for nature – an example of nature’s ingenuity. What if we can become part of this loop of life, enriching the Earth and becoming a source for new life? We started Loop to restore nature and secure our planet for future generations. We strongly believe in the need for humans to leave a positive impact, both during life and beyond. Our approach is to, in collaboration with nature, naturally reintroduce nutrients into the cycle of life. Today we invite you to join our mission, to enrich nature together.

Positive footprint

Nature holds countless solutions to our daily challenges. We believe that nature can guide us towards a positive footprint. Loop is on a mission to reintegrate humanity into the natural life cycle by collaborating with nature instead of exploiting it. We are cultivating a new generation of enriching products that enable us to return our nutrients to nature in a natural way. Are you ready for the bio-revolution?

Instead of polluting our environment with dead materials, we change the system by growing living materials that enrich nature.

Power of mushrooms

While most researchers had their eyes on the plants and organisms above ground, recent discoveries show that earth’s most crucial creatures live underneath us. Mycelium, the underground root network of mushrooms, are known as nature’s biggest recyclers. Its power to transform dead organic matter into new life makes this organism the driving force in nature’s cycle of life. The future is here

Learning from the natural unique strength of mycelium, we were able to invent the first world’s first living coffin, the Loop Living Cocoon™, alongside the Loop EarthRise™ and Loop ForestBed™. Our products empower humanity to enrich life after death. In our growing facility in Delft, The Netherlands, we grow our 100% biodegradable products, from local mushroom species and upcycled hemp fibers in only 7 days. Our products enable us to enrich life after death and to leave the world better behind for future generations
Let’s close the Loop.
